Wieke Gur, a native of Indonesia, currently resides in Australia, where she trains and coaches companies on cultural intelligence on how to do business in Indonesia. As a marketing communication professional, she loves helping people tell their story and provides them with a roadmap for effectively positioning their brands in the minds of consumers in Indonesia and elsewhere. In 2006, she founded Bahasa Kita, a comprehensive Indonesian language online resource.
She has worked for two major banks in Jakarta and as an Account Supervisor at D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles affiliated advertising agency in Jakarta. Wieke once managed a leading Indonesian weekly news magazine before running her own agency in marketing communication and pre-press production. She has written e-books on Cross-Cultural Business Strategy, Cultural Intelligence, and Doing Business in Indonesia. She is also a songwriter who has penned some of Indonesia’s most popular hits.
