diversiDARE focuses on critical areas of culture that have been largely been avoided in meetings, collaboration, professional engagement in education, training, research and serious conversation. There appears to be a fear leading to inability or unwillingness to discuss the cultural values, perspectives and practices that are among the most critical factors in the stories we live by personally and organizationally, and which shape our worlds of politics, religion, social structures, economics, ecology, humor, and healthcare. diversiDARE uses gamification to create a safe space for stepping into these “touchy and untouchable” areas and, in doing so, helps us look to establishing strategies and means for the continued exploration of the topics, and expanding engagement in these touchy cultural areas.

Annabelle (Bee) Baumann is a certified Intercultural Trainer, Moderator, and Speaker. She has worked as a blended learning Business English trainer in Germany since 2005. She published her first humorous self-help book Gurrl, You Ain’t Crazy in 2020 and has published a dozen literary short stories and essays. As a courageous Stand-up comedian and Humorist, she explores German society, African American culture and belonging. A Communication Trainer since 2019, she has designed a system to educate emerging leaders about strategic communication and intercultural balance. Through humor and creativity, she shows clients how to have difficult conversations, negotiate, and understand what others communicate, using a tool she developed termed H.I.V.E, honest, insightful, valuable engagement. She interacts with a dynamic speaking presence sharing stories of diverse personalities and communication styles from around the world while sharing her unique perspective.
George Simons, veteran intercultural consultant and trainer in communications and negotiation – and erstwhile poet, is a creator and editor-in-chief of the diversophy® collection of cultural learning and social change games. Diversity pioneer, he has synthesized the learnings of close to half a century of intercultural research and best practice into succinct and understandable game form that will start you and keep you sharing with the people about you in today's multicultural world. Born into the multicultural flower garden of immigrant USA, he has worked in over 50 countries and has resided in France for the last 25 years. A member and sponsor of SIETAR for the greater part of his career, he manages the SIETAR Europa LinkedIn community and the SIETAR Gamification Facebook Special Interest group.
