Are you passionate about travel and are you curious to discover and learn about the world? Are you curious about cultural diversity and do you like to explore and enjoy foods and cuisines of cultures different from your own? Would you want to know how best to behave when you have to dine with or prepare a lunch or a dinner for people from different parts of the world? This game provides answers to these questions.
Developed by Intercultural Management Masters students from the University of Burgundy: Francesca Bozzao, Aletta Bredewold, Sitong Li and Mary Emmanuelle Ponce.
We come from a diverse set of cultural backgrounds, from four different countries: the Netherlands, Italy, China, and the Philippines with various experiences living, working, and studying abroad. We began our journey with diversophy® in 2017 and have enjoyed the conversations, growth and fun that the development of the game has given us. diversophy® invited us a chance to explore different approaches to the topic of food diversity, from recipes and table manners to eating and drinking habits around the world, as well as a chance to reflect on the role and importance of food in our society. In the future, we will go further with our studies in the field of intercultural communication and management, each spending an exchange semester abroad, carrying an internship and completing our master’s thesis.
It has been our great honor to contribute to diversophy® and we would also like to thank our professor Alex Frame, researcher and head of the Intercultural Management Master's program at the University of Burgundy, for facilitating this project.
