I was born and raised in Germany, lived in Australia for a year and then moved to the Netherlands. I am studying ‘International Communication’ in Groningen a little town in the north of the Netherlands. As part of my curriculum and to improve my intercultural competencies, I went to Jyväskylä, Finland for one semester. At JAMK university in Finland I focused on Leadership, Cross-cultural Management and Intercultural Communication. Personally, I improved a lot by being surrounded by different cultures.
Another part of my curriculum is an internship abroad. In Finland I met George Simons who taught the class about facilitation practices and intercultural communication. George Simons gave me the opportunity to start my internship at GSI diversophy.
